Linda Hamilton has had an impressive career, best known for her portrayal of Sarah Connor in The Terminator and Catherine Chandler in the television Beauty and the Beast. The actress has reunited with her fellow Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Terminator: Dark Fate film which is due to be released on November 1. But how old is Linda Hamilton?

The world of Hollywood is reportedly obsessed with age, leading to several stars to get surgery in a bid to look younger.
However, Linda Hamiton is refusing to adhere to those demands and instead insists on ageing gracefully.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I want to reclaim the pride of ownership of all my experiences — and they’re in my face.”
She added: “I don’t know why I’m in this world where the only thing that is valued is perpetual youth.
“Why can’t 60 be the new 60? I don’t want to look 40!”

Ms Hamilton revealed the pressure of Hollywood led her to leave the area, selling her Malibu villa in 2012.
She said: “I’ve seen the faces that don’t move. The conversations that go: ‘She looks so good for her age! Look how beautiful she is. She hasn’t aged a bit!’ Really?!
“It’s very hard not to buy into that — and that’s one of the reasons I left Hollywood.”
She added Los Angeles had become a place of “inflated egos, and inflated boobs and lips”, adding: “I felt like a real outsider, so I left.”
The actress now lives in New Orleans with her chihuahua, Noodles.

Throughout her life, Ms Hamilton has been married and divorced twice.
Her first marriage lasted seven years but her ex-husband, Bruce Abbott, left her while she was pregnant with their son Dalton.
She married film director James Cameron, who she had a daughter with in 1993, in 1997 but the couple divorced two years later.
The King Kong Lives actress said she has not had a romantic relationship for 15 years.

Ms Hamilton added she was content with her life in New Orleans, acting in parts on television and in independent films.
But then Hames Cameron called her about The Terminator.
Now 28 years after Terminator: Judgement Day, she is reprising her role as Sarah Connors.
She and Mr Schwarzenegger will be joined by Gabriella Luna, Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davies and Diego Boneta.

She added: “The joy of being a woman of a certain age, who has nothing left to prove, is that I felt confident enough to say: ‘That’s trite, that’s petty, and that’s stupid!’
“And to point out that there’s no need to create a false conflict between these three women.
“It was the first time I’d gotten to say: ‘Let’s cut the s*** and make this right.”
Linda and Arnold’s characters in the film were originally enemies, but in Judgement Day they joined forces to protect Sarah’s son John.

The actress has a twin sister and one younger brother.
