Enjoyed attending the NC Cooperative Extension 4H Congress Convention last week to share more about Mountaire Farms’ “Farm to Table Scholarship” with 350+ students. It was great to run into one of our former winners, Emma Haynes. The “Farm to Table Scholarship” awards 10 students across #NorthCarolina with a $2,000 scholarship towards their continued studies in the #agriculture, #culinary, or food service fields. Out of those 10 students, 2 are selected for an addition $5,000 scholarship.Learn more: https://lnkd.in/exgTKTVm

Today marked the completion for the 29TH class of Leadership Montgomery in Montgomery County, NC. This program was led by the Montgomery Community College and Montgomery County Economic Development. This eight month journey was for community leaders to network and learn about the county where they work and/or live. I am thankful for the opportunity to make new connections to help grow Mountaire’s involvement and impact in the community. I was proud to be able to represent Mountaire Farms and the #MountaireCares Department - and for even getting to introduce my classmates to the #poultry industry during Business & Industry Day. Montgomery County is home to Mountaire’s Candor Feed Mill, North Carolina Grow Out Operations, and Garage. Yesterday was the last day of class for Leadership Montgomery and we focused on “undiscovered places”. The places we visited were a great reminder of what rural North Carolina has to offer to locals and even folks from across the country. Montgomery County, NC is home to Mountaire Farms’ Feed Mill and Grow Out Office in Candor NC. Savannah Heath, MBA
